Nanoo, Nanoo.
Here are some sketches I did just to staple down the characters a bit more. Don't forget to download the engine demo!

Infectious.
Playing with Fire.
Crash-testing.
The Doctor is In.
Something totally unrelated to the game, but where else am I going to put it?

I really like the "unrelated" one. How do you manage the restraint to keep from drawing every line that, logically, you know ought to be there (most notably the bridge of the nose and the forehead)? I can't seem to reliably create, and then preserve, that kind of suggestive minimalism in my drawings.
I won't claim that I'm a master of minimalism - I actually only took up minimalism because my inkwork was (and is) sloppy. Minimalism forces you to refine your inkwork.
I have produced dozens of pieces like that. I do it just by considering what parts of the image "wash out" due to light, and then considering what parts of the image need to be there for pattern recognition. Usually, the two are quite close. Then I try to walk the line between the two.
This one used too many lines, as any minimalist can tell you, but it's kind of pretty.
Nice, absinthe just makes sense in a steampunk setting.
