No progess this week. :P

However, next week will dawn bright and sparkly.

I think the plot will be the old standby: "Between a rock and a hard place": characters caught between the might of the steampunk empire and the strength of a long-dead civilization who dislikes them. While the player's aren't real high on anyone's list, you're in the middle.
